I had the pleasure of meeting the V family this weekend and little M. He is adorable with his big beautiful eyes! I got lots of smiles.
His nursery is done in a Miami Hurricanes theme. As a sports fan I LOVED this room. His Dad was telling me that the nursery walls were not quite the official Hurricanes color so I tried darkened the green a little. Hopefully I got it closer.
The wonderful family.
Happy Easter from Baby M!

We had perfect weather for this session in downtown Raleigh. And look how cute they are! Jennifer cannot take a bad picture, she is just beautiful! I can’t wait to see her on their wedding day.
I have a lot of pictures of these two but here is just a sneak peek!
It was a quite Sunday morning so they were able to sit on this beautiful cobblestone road at Raleigh City Market.

They made my job easy! Look how great they look!

I could keep posting pictures of them all day but here is just one more.

Spring is right around the corner. We have had a few days of nice weather with highs in the upper 60′s. The trees have been full of singing birds and so I decided to let Kathryn make Pine Cone Bird Feeders.
I forgot how much she dislikes peanut butter. She really, really did not like the smell of it.

She tried to smear the peanut butter on but in the end, the smell was too “yucky” for her so Mommy had to take over this part.

She did well with rolling it in the bird seed and was very proud of what she had made.

It did not take long for the squirrels to find them. We actually only have 2 or the 3 left on our trees. Not sure where the squirrels took it but I hope they found it tasty.

I was checking out some of my favorite photography blogs and saw this. It is a great idea and you can do this without fancy photography equipment.

Host a Facebook Profile Photo Party. Get some friends, a camera, some good lighting, crazy props and a whole lot of creativity and see what happens! Portrait parties are gaining in popularity and this is a great twist on that idea. My husband and I throw and end of the summer party every year and I might include this in our activities.
Of course…if anyone is interested in hosting one of these or any other portrait party please let me know but I thought I would throw this out there just for fun!
Some of you might be wondering “What is a portrait party?” Think of a Tupperware party with photography.
The party takes place at your home, or maybe an outdoor location like a park or lake. As the hostess you will receive a complimentary portrait package and earn a discount on portraits of your own, based on your guests’ order totals. There is no session fee so you only pay for what you buy.
Some people do this with their neighbors during a block party, family reunions, girls day out, bridal parties, play date groups and even a groomsmen party out on the golf course.
Please contact me if you are interested in hosting a portrait party.
